Parkhead Hub Glasgow, UK

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde and Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership appointed Hoskins Architects in 2019 to design Parkhead Hub; Scotland’s largest health and social care centre. Situated in the East end of the city, on the site of the former Parkhead Hospital, this new health and social care facility will bring together a number of public facing community health and social care services, previously spread across nine different sites.

This is the sixth centre to be based on the “reference design” which was developed by hWS, NHSGGC and Hoskins Architects in 2016, all of which have been delivered through development partner hub West Scotland. The 11,260 sqm facility will provide accommodation for services including: services for children, adult community care groups, mental health services, addiction services, criminal justice, homelessness and health improvement including General Practitioner services, a community pharmacy and dental department. The facility will also provide community spaces including a library, meeting rooms, and café facilities.
